FEM Indonesia – Jakarta. The Overseas Chinese Think Tank, in collaboration with GPHRI (Gabungan Penyuplai Hotel dan Restoran Indonesia) and Perhimpunan INTI (Indonesia Tionghoa), officially opened the 5th OCTF Jakarta 2025 Boutique International Trade & Innovation Showcase at Mangkuluhur Artotel Suites Jakarta, Karet Semanggi, South Jakarta. The two-day exhibition takes place from Monday to Tuesday, 24–25 November 2025.

Tourism Ministry: Technology Is Key to Transforming the Industry

Deputy for Industry and Investment at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Rizki Handayani Mustafa, who attended and inaugurated the exhibition, emphasized that the event provides a strategic space to strengthen the tourism ecosystem through technological innovation.

“In the tourism industry, we often focus on human resources, but technology development is actually a very strategic element that we must advance,” Rizki said during the opening ceremony on Monday (24/11/2025).

The event was also attended by Executive Director of Shenzhen OCTT and CEO of Shenzhen OCTF Karis Cheng, INTI Secretary General Candra Jap, and representatives from various companies and associations.

Aligned with Indonesia’s 2025–2029 Tourism Development Roadmap

Rizki noted that the exhibition aligns with the national tourism development goals for 2025–2029, which prioritize:
• sustainable tourism implementation,
• development of environmentally conscious destinations,
• strengthening inclusive supply chains,
• improving destination governance based on global standards, and
• expanding green infrastructure to support tourism.

This period also highlights the adoption of BGCE (Blue, Green, and Circular Economy) to enhance resource efficiency and upgrade the skills of tourism workers to better adapt to industry shifts. Technology, she stressed, plays a vital role in advancing these policies.

Three Strategic Areas to Boost Hospitality Competitiveness

Rizki outlined three strategic areas necessary to build a more sustainable and competitive hospitality sector:
1. Accelerating digital technology adoption and service innovation.
2. Strengthening digital integration across business operations.
3. Building sustainable hospitality supply chains through collaboration among local suppliers, producers, and international partners.

She encouraged industry players to use the exhibition as a platform for productive collaboration, new partnerships, and emerging business opportunities that can enrich Indonesia’s hospitality ecosystem.

“May this forum produce strategic steps that bring significant benefits for developing a high-quality and sustainable tourism industry in Indonesia,” she said.

Kadin DKI Highlights Strengthening Indonesia–China Cooperation

Vice Chairman for International Relations at Kadin DKI Jakarta, Aldi Imam Wibowo, stated that the exhibition reflects the harmonious cooperation between Indonesia and China that has strengthened over the years.

He added that rapid technological progress requires businesses to remain adaptive, innovative, and solution-oriented. “Technology not only provides solutions but also supports business growth and development,” Aldi remarked.

Organizers from China Emphasize Future Collaboration

On behalf of the Chinese organizers, Miss Han expressed her gratitude to all parties who supported the event and conveyed hopes for continued collaboration with Indonesia—especially in exchanging information through digital platforms and artificial intelligence.

“We believe that embracing technology will help businesses grow and elevate their capabilities,” Han said in Jakarta.
